Backup Solutions. We got your back.

What do you rely on?

Data is critical. Almost every business relies on their information being accessible and safe all of the time. Whether building historical information, storing business contacts, keeping account and financial records, or collaborating sales and strategy material - businesses need to have access to their data in all shapes and forms at any given moment. If you've been in business a while - you understand this. And so do we.

Our approach.

Wolfbyte can help your business ensure that your data is protected and accessible when and where you need it by planning both onsite and offsite backup strategies to suit your budget and requirements.

Check for holes.

Checking for holes is something to do before (i) hopping into a rubber raft, (ii) parading around at the beach with your new pair of speedos, and (iii) relying on a back-up solution. That's why Wolfbyte work to ensuring your data is protected in all critical areas. What do we mean by critical areas?

This is way too boring,

Onsite backup

Whilst effective, Servers with RAID setups are limited in the way they can protect your data, which is why daily backups to an external storage device are also essential. Configured by Wolfbyte, backups to onsite devices perform frequent full and/or incremental data backups. The benefit of having an up-to-date version of data onsite is that in the event of the server being unavailable, Wolfbyte can make data quickly available to users allowing them to continue work whilst the server is repaired.

Onsite – Server with RAID

The onsite backup process starts within the server itself using hard drive redundancy. Data-redundancy (using RAID) can improve performance and help ensure that information is always stored on at least 2 physical drives at any one time. Wolfbyte can help setup and maintain the best RAID configuration for your business.

Offsite – Backup

The implementation of an automated offsite backup system involves a daily copy made of all new and modified data to an externally hosted server. Wolfbyte monitor the process and receive daily notification of backup success or failure. An offsite backup solution such as this minimises the risk of complete data loss in the event of fire, theft or similar. When you need your data restored, Wolfbyte can arrange for a disk drive to be shipped to you, or the data can be simply downloaded directly from the server.

Offsite – Cloud storage

Making use of Cloud collaboration services not only helps your business to share and store information, but also provides another mechanism for storing your most up-to-date versions of information in a safe and easy to access location. In the event of your local information being lost or wiped, a simple synchronisation to your Cloud storage will get you back up to speed quickly and easily.

Quiz yourself.

What are you missing?

What most people fail to realize is that there is more to protecting data than running a daily backup to an external hard drive. Your business needs to consider:

1. Am I Exposing myself?

Have I ensured that everything important to my business is stored and regularly updated to a safe location? Is my backup in more than one location to cover myself for all situations (theft, fire, flood, hardware failure)?

2. How quickly and easily can I restore my data?

Do I have a simple process for retrieving and restoring my information in the event of data- loss? Can I temporarily access my data from another location easily in the event of my server crashing? How long can I afford to be without my data?
